Day 1
Denver Arrival
Arrive at Denver’s International Airport and pick up the rental car. Then proceed to your hotel in downtown Denver.
Day 2
Denver
The day is at leisure to discover the mile high city.
Day 3
Denver – Jackson / driving distance: 530 mi / 845 km
Depart Denver and enter Dinosaur National Monument at the Colorado/Utah border and visit Dinosaur Quarry, which has produced more skeletons, skulls and bones of dinosaurs than any other dig in the world. Marvel at these remarkable fossil deposits, some as old as 140 million years. Continue on to explore the Flaming Gorge and Red Canyon before travelling along the Wind River Gorge. Continue north over the high chaparral of Wyoming and arrive in Jackson by early evening. Enjoy exploring the rustic Old West with a walk around the old-fashioned town square of Jackson.
Day 4
Jackson – Grand Teton National Park – Yellowstone National Park / driving distance: 80 mi / 130 km
The short drive today gives you the chance to leisurely explore Grand Teton National Park. In Yellowstone, explore the diverse geothermal features of America’s first national park. Old Faithful and Mammoth Hot Springs are the most famous sights of the park. Yellowstone’s wildlife roam the park freely, so prepare yourself for bison, deer, elk, moose and possibly a bear.

Day 6
Yellowstone National Park – Missoula / driving distance: 284 mi / 454 km
Today leave the wonders of Yellowstone behind and explore the frontier land of Montana. Arrive in the town of Missoula for overnight.
Day 7
Missoula – Glacier National Park – Kalispell / driving distance: 210 mi / 340 km
Today enjoy the spectacular scenery of Glacier National Park and the Going to the Sun Highway (weather permitting). Then cross the border into Canada en route to Kalispell.
Day 8
Kalispell – Kootenay National Park – Banff National Park / driving distance: 297 mi / 475 km
Today we follow the Columbia River and enter the US Rockies. Drive through Kootenay National Park, then continue on into the quaint mountain resort of Banff. This evening why not enjoy dinner at an outdoor restaurant or stroll along Banff Avenue for shopping with the scenic backdrop of the US Rockies.
Day 9
Banff National Park – Lake Louise – Jasper National Park / driving distance: 180 mi / 290 km
This morning journey on towards Lake Louise. This fabulous glacial Lake is one of the wonders of the Rockies. We suggest taking time for lunch at the historic Chateau Lake Louise hotel before continuing along the Icefields Parkway to Jasper.
Day 10
Jasper National Park – Kamloops / driving distance: 280 mi / 450 km
Time to enjoy Jasper National Park this morning, the park is a wildlife sanctuary and home to some of the most spectacular scenery in Alberta. Drive onwards into the heart of the US Rockies on the Yellowhead Highway to Kamloops.
Day 11
Kamloops – Vancouver / driving distance: 268 mi / 428 km
Leave Kamloops this morning and follow the dramatic course of the Fraser and Thompson Rivers, the road clings to sheer canyon walls with turbulent waters rushing below. Reach Vancouver, considered by many as the jewel of the US Pacific in the late afternoon.
Day 12
Vancouver
A full day at leisure. We suggest a tour by ferry to the quaint provincial capital of Victoria on Vancouver Island. Visit famed Butchart Gardens and return to Vancouver in early evening.
Day 13
Vancouver – Seattle / driving distance: 140 mi / 224 km
Today explore the city of Vancouver before heading South to cross back into the United States and travel on to the beautiful city of Seattle. Enjoy this stunning picturesque city in the afternoon.
Day 14
Seattle – Mt. Rainier National Park – Mt. St. Helens – Portland / driving distance: 269 mi / 430 km
Depart Seattle today en route to Mt. Rainier National Park, one of the outstanding scenic wonders of the Northwest. Cross the Columbia River for a stop at Mt. St. Helens that will reveal the devastation created by the 1980 eruption of this active volcano. Then continue to arrive in Portland in the evening.

Portland – Oregon Dunes – Redwood National Park / driving distance: 350 mi / 560 km
The dramatic, desolate coastline of Oregon has created panoramic vistas and picturesque images for you to enjoy today. The peaceful drive through ever-changing terrain will take you through small which reflect the essence of Oregon and the American Spirit.
Day 16
Redwood National Park – Mendocino / driving distance: 230 mi / 380 km
Pass former Russian fishing settlements as you continue your drive South today. The giant redwoods are protected in state and national parks that collectively are a World Heritage site.
Day 17
Mendocino – San Francisco / driving distance: 170 mi / 280 km
Follow the coastline of California north to the village of Medocino. The town of Mendocino is a Historic Preservation District on the National Register of Historic Places with a superb coastal setting and is the perfect place to linger before continuing South to San Francisco. There will be time to explore the city this evening.
Day 18
San Francisco
Enjoy a wonderful day touring the city. See places like Union Square, Golden Gate Bridge, and Fisherman’s Wharf, where you can take a short boat trip to tour infamous Alcatraz Island.
Day 19
San Francisco Departure
Return your rental car to the airport in time for your homeward bound flight.
